Trusted, local help with cleaning, laundry, errands, gardening and life's everyday tasks — and a dependable, familiar face you can rely on. I'm Sarah, and I'd love to help.
I'm a Newport girl who has lived overseas for much of my adult life, returning home to Wales in 2025 to be closer to family. Earlier in my career I worked as a nanny and housekeeper for a high-net-worth family in France — where I learnt to run a home to the very highest standard. I then spent 20 years building a corporate career in the Middle East, where I was fortunate to have wonderful help at home myself.
I know from experience how much a well-run, organised home supports positive mental health and reduces everyday stress. I established Househelpers Wales after seeing the gap in the market for a truly flexible, personal service — one that goes far beyond conventional cleaning. I live in Rogerstone with my young son, our dog and our cats.
This business was inspired by Chirel — the remarkable woman who kept my home running smoothly and helped me raise my son during those demanding early years. I am DBS-checked and fully insured, and I also help care for my own elderly parents, so I understand just how much a reliable, familiar face can mean.
We will be there on time and we will get the job done — every time.
DBS-verified, fully insured, and mature individuals you can leave in your home with confidence.
We take genuine pride in the quality of our work and in making a difference to your day.
Each session is shaped around your needs on the day — no two visits need be the same.
Emotionally intelligent and understanding — we work with families too, so loved ones are looked after.
We specialise in helping people who could use an extra, trusted pair of hands around the home.
We help with the everyday tasks that can become trickier over time, working hand-in-hand with families to keep homes running smoothly.
Focus on your little one and worry less about the housework. We keep everything ticking over while you settle in.
Short or long-term — whether you are recovering from an operation or managing a condition, an extra pair of hands makes all the difference.
We are animal-friendly and love working in homes with pets. Dogs walked, cats fussed, and everything else taken care of too.
At the start of each session you tell us where you'd like us to start — and we take it from there. Mix and match whatever makes life easier.
Dusting, wiping down, vacuuming, mopping, washing up — your home left fresh and tidy.
Washing, drying, ironing, folding, making up fresh beds and putting linen away.
Sweeping paths, mowing the grass, weeding and caring for your indoor plants.
Sorting recycling, taking bins out and keeping on top of household waste.
Inside fridges and cupboards, reorganising storage — the jobs that get put off.
Overseeing tradesmen, accepting home deliveries and keeping things running smoothly.
Healthy home-cooked snacks and meals, prepared with care in your own kitchen.
Picking up the weekly shop and replenishing the everyday items you need.
Dog walking, feeding and litter tray cleaning — we love animals and they love us.
A friendly face, a proper chat and someone you can genuinely count on.
We are not registered carers and we don't provide personal or medical care — things like washing, dressing or medication. What we offer is good company, housekeeping and a hand with everyday life. We are always happy to work alongside your existing care arrangements.
Call, WhatsApp or fill in our short form for a friendly, no-pressure conversation about what you need.
